BUA SADDLES - RETURNS POLICY

Saddle Returns Policy

Thank you for your interest in trialling a Bua Saddle. We understand an important part of your saddle investment decision is verifying not only proper fit on your horse but also comfort and correct fit for you as the rider.   

In an effort to help you with these decisions, we do allow returns on our Bua Saddles.  In return for this accommodation, it is important that you assume full responsibility for the safety and condition on any saddle you take on trial.  Our returns option is currently only available on saddles ordered directly with Bua Saddles following customers submitting complete advance saddle fit check criteria details to Bua Saddles available on:  https://www.buasaddles.com/saddle-fit-needs-analysis

 

 

Terms and Conditions are as follows: 

 

  1. In advance of trial, Bua will issue you with a formal quote for your specific saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)  to include shipping to your  location.  A scanned copy of photo I.D. with address may be required, drivers licence or equivalent.

  2. Trial Charges - Bua will hold  a security deposit of 50% of the cost of the saddle, (and/or saddle parts & accessories)  .  If as a result of the Bua Saddle not fitting your horse and that you decide to return the saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)  the deposit amount will be returned in full provided saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)  are in perfect condition as set out below.

  3. Customer must cover all shipping costs, out and return  which we will advise in advance.

  4. An administration fee of €150.00 is also applicable and will be deducted from saddle price (and/or saddle parts & accessories)  price should you purchase it.

  5. On our quotation document, Bua will advise total price of all your costs, refunds and shipping charges  should you decide to return the saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)  after the trial period.

  6. The saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)   must be in perfect order in as new condition, when returned.  - see Trial Instructions section.

  7. The saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)   must be received back at our Bua Ireland offices within 2 weeks of it being delivered to you.  Bua will issue a return courier collection label which you will need to print off if you are not keeping the saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories) .

  8. Customer is responsible for safe return & forwarding all shipping and tracking details to Bua.

  9. If it takes longer than one week (after the trial period) for the saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)  to be returned, there will be an additional charge, payable in advance  of €75.00 per week or part thereof, unless we are notified and arranged prior that shipping is to take longer than expected.

  10. After the 7 day trial, it is your responsibility to notify Bua via email at info@buasaddles.com  whether you will be keeping or returning the saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories) . If keeping the saddle, (and/or saddle parts & accessories)   we will process your balance payment as notified in your quotation document. . If you are not keeping the saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories) , you must arrange to have the saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)   safely shipped back to our offices within one week of the trial ending.

  11. The saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)  must be returned in the same condition as it was shipped, please advise us immediately if you have any concerns.  We will also need confirmation of shipment and tracking number emailed to us. Bua will issue you with label for return shipping which you will need to print off and attach to parcel in plastic pouch.

  12. If no contact is made after the seven day period, we will assume you have decided to keep the saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)  and your card will be automatically charged (on day 8 or after) for the balance amount advised in your quotation.

 

 

Bua’s commitment:

  1. Where the saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)  are returned in perfect condition the total cost of the security deposit (less outward and return shipping  and €150.00 administration charges)  will be refunded.

  2. We will advise all shipping fees in advance depending on your location.

  3. Bua will review images of the saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)  in advance of return to check on condition if requested, however ultimately we work on the condition the saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)   is received  at our workshop in Ireland

Trial Instructions:

  • During the ‘testing’ period, please treat the saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories) carefully. You cannot ride              extensively in the saddle or parts. Please keep it  clean. Leave any  tags on the saddle+parts if applicable.

  • Use your own saddle pad and girth to see how the saddle + parts  fits your horse.

  • For fitting purposes only, you can place a thin blanket or sheet under the new saddle pad to              protect it from any debris (dirt or hair).

  • Take your time to get it settled, girth it up and assess whether it fits. We can email you basic instructions to help                 with         fitting procedure. You can sit and gently ride in the saddle in a controlled area to get a feel for it. Do not go on a trail ride        or engage in competitions that would render the saddle unable to be re-sold to another customer.

  • Protect the stirrup leathers and flaps  to avoid any marks and rubs on the saddle.  Wear soft pants or breeches.

  • Half chaps, full chaps, tall boots, jeans with seams, bling, and          pockets may scratch and leave marks on the saddle. If you       mark up the saddle, you may be charged for repairs     or replacement parts.

  • Please ensure you use a mounting block for mounting. Do not oil saddle  before you are sure you will keep it.

  • If changing flaps or panels, please ensure you do this with the saddle resting on soft clean rug or material to      ensure no marking or rubbing.

Usage Surcharges:

Any saddle (and/or saddle parts & accessories)  returned with excessive wear (rub marks on the flaps, scratches in the leather surface, d-rings, bite marks, missing parts, including covers if applicable, etc...) will be automatically assessed a surcharge of a minimum 10% of the saddle's value. 

Bua Saddles reserves the right to determine damage based on returned condition vs. taken out condition.
